JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Individual is responsible for facilitating alignment and providing governance and oversight for all aspects of assigned operator training program (LOR, ILT, NLO, SM/STA, or Simulator).

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in providing governance over the accredited and non-accredited portions of the assigned operator training program.

Assists in providing governance over other broad-based fleet training initiatives related to operations training.

Drive standardization of fleet-wide operations training programs to achieve common qualifications, common training materials, and common training program structures.

Represent the Manager, Ops Training at meetings with industry, regulators, INPO, etc., to discuss and resolve matters effecting Nuclear Training and the accreditation process.

Reviews and evaluates performance of site training departments as related to execution of assigned operator training program.

Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on issues related to fleet training.

Oversee the development of training lessons and materials for fleet-wide courses associated with assigned operations training program.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position
None

Minimum experience required of the position
8 years’ experience in nuclear training, maintenance, operations, radiation protection, chemistry or PS&O. 5 years’ experience in nuclear operator training.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
In depth understanding of the systematic approach to training and how it is executed at Entergy Nuclear. Excellent project management skills. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills.

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR.
