JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Project Manager of Distribution Project Development will lead efforts of scope and project cost refinement on large distribution projects. Distribution Project Manager provides input into the development and presentation of options for distribution solutions, along with the cost and schedule of the projects.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide initial estimates and scopes on distribution projects necessary to support the Distribution Strategic Plan.

 

Ensure that distribution project development requests are addressed in a timely manner.

 

Establish JET teams to perform scoping and own the project scoping plan for each assigned project until the project funding is secured.

 

Ability to manage multiple jurisdictional scoping projects. 

 

Develop and present distribution solution options to project owners working with Jet team members and PDP engineers. Provide support to other Entergy work groups to meet the business needs of Entergy’s Distribution organization.

 

Provide project refinement while maintaining the appropriate Distribution improvement drivers to support measurable KPI’s. Track changes, options and risk register on assigned projects.

 

Provide support, as needed, to various workgroups including Operations, Economic Development, Distribution Planning, System Planning Organization, etc.

 

Ensure coordination with TPD for funding amounts in projects that require a transmission component.  Align coordination of both teams work schedules to get the job completed.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or equivalent.

 

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years of experience in customer service, engineering or operations.

 

Distribution Operations or Distribution planning background with experience in leading teams is preferred

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.  Must possess a working knowledge of utility rates, regulatory issues, company policy, construction of new facilities and contract requirements, and have the ability to prioritize opportunities based on probability of success and profitability. Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to effectively develop and present sales proposals to prospective customers.
