JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of Entergy’s Unified Communications and Collaboration portfolio. Currently, this consists of Office 365 GCC, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Cisco Telepresence, Webex, Jabber, and Webex Teams. Stay current on enterprise application and hardware roadmaps and strategies. Champion new products, features, version updates, etc., as appropriate for the environment. Assist in the piloting and testing of new services and functionality designed to improve employee efficiency, engagement, maintain compliance, and extend business capabilities. Act as a liaison, advisor, and engineer for all projects with a unified communications or collaboration component.
Responsibilities:
- Configuration, troubleshooting and support of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Workspace One.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts used to manage and support the Office 365 environment.
- Work with IT teams to implement and manage security-related procedures and protocols in accordance with enterprise standards, requirements, and best practices.
- Stay current on O365, Cisco and other Collaboration product updates and new releases.
- Ensure the operational health of the Collaboration environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability.
- Support UC equipment & Telepresence locations.
- Manage & administer enterprise UC and collaboration support infrastructure.
- Leverage vendor partners where appropriate to best accomplish the necessary tasks.
- Track usage and terms of related software licenses and support contracts with related vendors.
- Act as point of contact for customers wishing to add UC capabilities to conference rooms or facilities.
- Develop standard equipment lists, generate price quotes, purchase equipment as needed.
Collaborate and Communication:
- Open and track support tickets with third-party vendors.
- Work with other IT/Infrastructure and Security team members and vendors to develop, design, and implement projects and associated scope of work as it relates to UC and Collaboration services.
- Follow established change management processes and appropriately manage related outage windows.
End User Support:
- Manage and administer user identities, groups, and policies.
- Provide training and advocacy to drive end-user adoption.
- Assist Service Desk and Field Services teams in troubleshooting issues UC and Collaboration hardware/software.
- Provide level 2/3 end user support.
- Assist users in the proper use of relevant software and hardware.
- Provide after-hours support as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
5+ years of end user infrastructure experience (desktop, laptop and user applications)
Desired experience:
- Experience with Cisco Webex Engineering and Architecture, Webex Cloud, AV, conference room setup and design, Cisco Jabber, and unified communications.
- Working knowledge of Cisco Collaborations products, Cisco VoIP networking hardware and software.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining advanced Cisco Unified Communication and collaboration solutions.
- Experience maintaining and integrating cloud Webex solutions with Office 365 and other collaboration products.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 configuration and maintenance, including Exchange Online, Office 365 Groups, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Experience with user authentication methods (single-sign-on security, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong working knowledge of infrastructure and software development lifecycle and methodologies, knowledge of all areas of the end user platforms listed above.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. Ability to lead using informal authority to drive organizational objectives (internal and external resources).
- Ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to handle escalations with minimal supervision.
