Job Summary/Purpose

The IT Consultant - Performance Analyst will be responsible for the monitoring, analysis, reporting and management of the IT organization’s overall operational performance. He/she will take an active role in driving performance enhancement, and leading targeted process improvement initiatives. This role works closely with all IT groups, ensuring the consistent tracking and reporting of metrics and performance data, and alignment of process improvement efforts to IT’s overall strategic goals. The role helps define the metrics, data collection methods, and reporting mechanisms as well as implementation of an overall performance management strategy. The IT Consultant will also help measure and report the financial performance of the IT organization, by supporting cost transparency efforts, and helping to develop mature cost metrics and benchmarking.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Define and maintain Entergy IT’s performance monitoring and reporting strategy  (processes, tools, & templates); develop enhanced reporting capabilities through standardization and automation  
  • Collect, consolidate and validate performance data for inclusion in IT and business communications, including weekly reports, monthly scorecards, and executive presentations
  • Proactively analyze trends in performance across IT; collaborate with process owners and stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, PMO) to identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in efforts to improve cost transparency; develop more robust cost metrics and benchmarking capabilities; assist in efforts supporting IT cost leadership

 

Minimum education required of the position:

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or the equivalent work experience.

 

Minimum experience required of the position:

IT Consultant: 5+ years data analysis and reporting, including organizing, tracking and presenting performance data  

Sr. IT Consultant: 7+ years data analysis and reporting, including organizing, tracking and presenting performance data. 

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Working knowledge of IT performance metrics. Experience with data management, report design, data visualization and presentation techniques
  • Familiarity with financial data and GL accounting strongly preferred; benchmarking experience a plus
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow platform, including reporting, dashboards and Performance Analytics module
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Suite, experience with BI reporting tools such as MS PowerBI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead using informal authority to drive organizational objectives
  • Ability to work with diverse, cross-functional teams (PMO, finance, supply chain, outsourced vendors…)

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:

ITIL certification a plus
