Title: Nuclear Chemist Grade 1, 2, or 3 - ANO
*****This position will be filled as Nuc Chemist Grade 1, 2 or 3 depending on experience.*****
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist and conduct testing on water samples using laboratory equipment for wet chemistry parameters and radioactivity.
- Assist in laboratory work as directed.
- Inspect, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation
- Be capable of recognizing and evaluating chemistry data
- Prepare records and reports
- Perform necessary housekeeping as per Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Institute for Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) endorsed regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma
Highly Preferred Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or other technical related field
- Navy Nuclear ELT School
- Nuclear chemistry or environmental experience
Company Testing
Must pass the EEI TECH test
Additional Responsibilities
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Must live within 60 minutes of the site. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
