Job Summary / Purpose:
Supply Chain Commercial Operations develops and delivers commercial strategies that enables the enterprise to transform the way We Power Life. While prioritizing safety, the Student Intern role works with a cross functional team to execute excellence on the day-to-day operational goals as well as on key initiatives being led by the Procurement & Supply Chain org. Key focus areas include support of Entergy’s Power Delivery business.
This internship is designed to give college students practical work experience in their field of study. This position is ideal for someone with a major in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting with a desire to work in the utility industry.
Job Duties / Responsibilities include:
Working in a team environment to assist in day-to-day activities, including but not limited to:
- Assist in supporting and developing special initiatives in Supply Chain around the company’s efforts (some nuclear function work may be included).
- Perform market research & insights which include gathering information and market intelligence to enable the business to plan and respond to changing external trends
- Assist in developing commercial roadmaps and communication plans.
- Utilizing AI to perform other essential and ancillary duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position:
- Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree with a major in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Accounting from a four-year institution.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale), verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Motivated, self-starter with a results driven approach
- Ability to interpret data and produce insights (AI abilities are a plus)
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
- Strong ability to adapt to change
- Technically proficient in Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerBI
