JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Supports the SPO – Advanced Network Planning engineering department with day to day tasks related to Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Planning and Model Development. Assignments are made for specific tasks based on the needs of the department, including technical analysis, field data acquisition, general engineering tasks, data analysis, updating of equipment databases, preparation of documents, spreadsheets, etc.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the SPO – Advanced Network Planning engineering department with day to day tasks related to Distributed Energy Resources and model development.
- Assist with DER (PV, Energy Storage, EV, DR, etc.) studies and analysis.
- Assist with Model Development for Planning Power Flow Models.
- Conduct data and system analysis.
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets, presentations, interoffice correspondence.
- Conduct follow-ups in a detailed fashion.
- Assist in the acquisition of field data as necessary.
- Handle multiple assignments and work within deadlines.
- Be proactive in addressing/forwarding work issues to the appropriate engineer/supervisor/manager.
- Work in a team environment in both the engineering group and cross functionally in the larger organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Pursing undergrad or master's degree in Electrical engineering.
- A Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).
