This is a hybrid role, working in office 3 days a week. The position can be based in New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS, Little Rock, AR or The Woodlands, TX. Those outside the area will be required to relocate; relocation assistance is not available for this posting. This position will be filled as an Analyst II, Analyst III, Analyst Sr. or Analyst, Senior Lead depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience***

 

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

 

This position supports the vision of Ethics & Compliance as a forward-leaning department that supports the Company’s overall grow through promoting and enforcing an ethical culture.  This role is a part of the team responsible for providing corporate oversight of compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other affiliate regulatory requirements.  This role includes analyzing compliance‑relevant datasets, evaluating control effectiveness, and supporting process improvements aligned with FERC, Department of Justice guidance, internal governance frameworks, and enterprise risk‑management initiatives. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance and works closely with Entergy’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, providing leadership and guidance on project assignments and analysis for the Regulatory Compliance functional area.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Applying best practices to general oversight of business unit compliance activities, including conducting risk assessments, designing, implementing and testing mitigating controls, delivering mandatory training and developing reporting requirements.
  • Interacting with leadership throughout the organization to understand and address compliance issues.
  • Staying abreast of FERC regulations and emerging industry issues that may affect Entergy policies, practices, and decision making.
  • Actively supporting the continuous improvement of the FERC Compliance Program and its processes; including governing documents, compliance controls, training materials and communications.
  • Making presentations to business units, sometimes in other geographic locations, on compliance and other applicable topics.
  • Collecting, validating, and analyzing compliance‑related data from systems such as PI, Power BI, Archer, MyLearning, and other enterprise platforms to identify trends, anomalies, and risk indicators.
  • Support and enhance FERC compliance program analytics by benchmarking against industry standards, DOJ effective compliance program guidelines, and internal effectiveness measures and by building dashboards and reporting solutions that assist in anticipating potential compliance issues before they materialize.
  • Respond to ad‑hoc requests from Ethics & Compliance leadership regarding data inquiries, trend evaluation, and compliance‑monitoring strategies.

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Required : Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred : Juris Doctorate law degree

Minimum Experience Requirements:

 

  • Analyst II : 2-4 years of professional experience.
  • Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience 
  • Analyst Senior: At least 6 years of professional experience
  • Analyst Senior Lead: At least 8 years of professional experience.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with enterprise data tools, system access management, and data-segregation principles; familiarity with Power BI, PI, Archer, and learning‑management systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify control weaknesses, data‑quality issues, compliance‑risk signals, trends, anomalies, correlations, and performance patterns; building and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • The ability to automate recurring data processes to improve efficiency and data quality.
  • Understanding of regulatory or GRC frameworks (e.g., FERC, DOJ guidance, internal ethics and compliance programs).
  • Prior experience supporting regulatory audits, risk assessments, or compliance program evaluations.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and prompt development to realize work efficiencies
