JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Manager of AI Technical Delivery is responsible for driving end-to-end technology delivery excellence for complex problems spanning all parts of Entergy’s operations. This role focuses on integrating people, process, and technology to improve delivery outcomes, accelerate value realization, and embed continuous improvement through AI-enabled solutions and automation. The Manager of AI Technical Delivery works with Business teams, Product Owners, vendors, and Architects to deliver custom software and analytic products for internal use. Managers of Technical Delivery ensure that all deliverables adhere to the highest standards of software quality & security.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage cross functional teams of individuals across many software delivery disciplines including software engineering, data science/engineering, product management, and quality assurance

2. Identification and implementation of innovation opportunities leveraging both existing and new technology capabilities to drive improved cost, quality and speed for a project or program of work

3. Establish measures and norms for high performance for all parts of software delivery within the AI department while fostering a culture of continual improvement

4. Estimate and forecast cross-functional staffing needs for end-to-end solutions to high impact business problems

5. Provide leadership and guidance that grows individuals both technically and professionally, while empowering them to deliver impactful, scalable, and cost-effective software solutions

6. Drive collaboration across all delivery disciples both within project and professional growth contexts

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in technical field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience).

 

Minimum experience required of the position

· 7+ years’ experience successfully delivering enterprise software solutions, ideally in the energy/utilities industry. · Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks such Java, React, Python, Postgres, and/or other technologies common to enterprise implementation settings · Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, especially in agile delivery environments. · Utility experience is strongly preferred.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex delivery portfolios · Proven track record of delivering complex technical programs in a matrixed environment with a proactive and analytical mindset · Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills · Proven track record of identifying trends, staying current with skills and helping build an engineering-oriented culture. Good knowledge of APIs, Microservices, and proficiency with Cloud platforms like AWS. Knowledge of Application and Infrastructure security best practices.
