Job Summary/Purpose

This position supports Entergy New Orleans’ distribution reliability team by managing all reliability project aspects including coordinating schedules, managing budget, and ensuring efficiency in all steps. Responsible for overseeing day to day reliability needs by leading network meetings and helping project manage reliability efforts. Works with construction to ensure projects are delivered with cost and schedule certainty. Identifies, manages, and mitigates project risks. Works with Finance group to ensure costs are managed. Works closely with business unit representatives to achieve reliability project objectives.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Promotes safe behavior and adherence to the safety rules on the project. Ensures contract scope of work includes safety deliverables/requirements as needed.
  • Supports the efforts to meet or exceed target levels for all reliability goals (SAIDI, SAIFI, CAIDI).
  • Manages reliability meetings within region/networks
  • Develops and maintains the Quarterly Reliability Plan and executes projects in adherence with this plan. Establishes and maintains project documentation. Coordinates the efforts of all project participants, including consultants and contractors. 
  • Manages the project in line with the project budget. Ensures project controls are implemented for effectively managing project scope, schedule, quality, cost, risk, contracts and communications in accordance with the applicable corporate standards.
  • Provides clear, timely and accurate project status reports for management. Prepares reports and presentations,  issues status reports as needed to management.
  • Identifies, makes timely decisions, and takes prompt action on project issues that could impact project performance. Promptly communicates issues to the next level of leadership.
  • Effectively manages the ARC database for his/her assigned regions and networks by ensuring information in the database is accurate and up to date. At least on a bi-weekly basis, review the database and remove/cancel any invalid or outdated project.

1) Excel experience (pivot tables or medium to advance skillset)

Additional job duties/responsibilities :

Versatile professional with exceptional people skills and proven ability to coordinate projects across multiple departments. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis is essential, along with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and solid project management fundamentals. You must be able to prioritize competing priorities and resolve conflicts to streamline workflows. Experience with Power BI and Maximo is preferred; if you don't have it, demonstrated ability to quickly master new tools is valued.

 

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management (4-year degree required) or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.

 

Minimum experience required of the position

5+ years of experience in customer service, engineering or operations.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Must possess a working knowledge of utility rates, regulatory issues, company policy, construction of new facilities and contract requirements, and have the ability to prioritize opportunities based on probability of success and profitability. Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator, able to effectively develop and present sales proposals to prospective customers.
