Job Title: Plant Supervisor - Maintenance

Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

Supervises all plant Maintenance which includes supporting startup/shutdown activities. Manages performance of direct reports to maximize employee focus and alignment with corporate, function, and department business objectives. Supervises and directs the work of several multi-skilled/multi-craft employees (Mechanical Tech's, ICE Tech's, Maintenance Operators) in troubleshooting and repairs of turbine-generator, boiler systems, and auxiliary equipment.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities  

 

Supervises, develops, and manages workload for a group of skilled craft employees to address all plant maintenance activities in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Recruits maintenance personnel and evaluates performance.

 

Maintains and upholds quality, standards, procedures and regulations of the organization, state, and federal agencies including compliance with all company, state, and federal requirements (OSHA, NERC, EPA, State DEQ's, SOX, etc.)

 

Collaborates with Planning and Operations personnel and assigns resources to address arising maintenance issues.

 

Contracts and purchases management for assigned projects and outage areas. Schedules management and financial reporting as required (weekly and monthly cost tracking, monthly accruals reporting, future projects estimation, etc.) Staffs and manages routine, planned, emergency, and reserve outages as well as assigned projects. Develops schedule and budget related to routine maintenance and planned outages. Works to train and develop a multi-skilled work group.

 

Assists in preparing and planning near-term and strategic maintenance budget.

 

Interfaces and communicates with internal & external organizations/customers (Managers, SPO, contractors, etc.).                                                                 

Minimum Requirements                                                                                                                                     

Minimum education required of the position                                                                                                             

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position                                               

Five (5) years of Instrumentation/Electrical or Mechanical Experience and demonstrated supervisory leadership qualities.  Desired 8-10 years of Instrumentation/Electrical or Mechanical Experience, 3-5 years of this period as a supervisor over maintenance.                                                        

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position                         

Must have an in-depth knowledge of industrial maintenance and a basic understanding of operations. These attributes must be at a Maintenance Technician Proficiency. Must also be knowledgeable in Industrial Work Flow Processes.
