JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Supports Corporate Risk Committee meetings. Performs key credit‑risk functions, including reporting, maintaining counterparty credit data, and supporting daily margining activities.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for coordinating, preparing for, and leading the weekly meetings of the Corporate Risk Committee. The Committee is composed of leaders across the organization, including executive leadership, as well as subject matter experts in multiple disciplines. These meetings are highly visible and often dynamic, requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively and adapt quickly to changes in direction.
Key responsibilities include engaging with Committee members to collect votes, gather feedback, and ensure timely communication with project sponsors. The individual will be expected to identify and implement process improvements—particularly through automation—to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Committee operations. The role will also prepare agendas and lead additional meetings that support the Committee’s ongoing activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Reporting credit risk metrics and preparing quarterly credit risk reports.
- Owning and maintaining the database of counterparty credit ratings.
- Owning and maintaining the approved counterparty list.
- Supporting daily margining activities and executing collateral management processes.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements, including leveraging artificial intelligence and automation tools, to benefit the team and the broader organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
- Financial Analyst I: 0 - 2 years of professional experience a related field.
- Financial Analyst II: 2 - 4 years of professional experience a related field.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
- Credit risk management knowledge, preferably in the electric utility industry
- Ability to analyze and extract information from financial statements to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties
- Familiarity with the types of transactions inherent in the electric utility or other capital-intensive industries
- Proficient knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to work within a team environment and lead a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position
- Preferred: CPA, CFA or MBA
