Job Summary/Purpose:

Provide direction and leadership to a team responsible for power and transmission settlements, as well as Scope 2 emissions, for the five Entergy Operating Companies. This role oversees a group that actively participates in regulatory filings, proceedings, and audits, delivering expert analysis, testimony, and support. The Manager, Settlements, Analysis & Reporting leads efforts to identify risk areas, drive change, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and automation. This position partners with market and industry experts, third-party vendors, and consultants to develop, implement, and continually refine strategies related to settlements, including Scope 2 emissions reporting and the REC/AEC strategy. The Manager is accountable for the overall scope of settlements strategy and initiatives, communicating across all levels of the enterprise to set direction and influence decisions. Additionally, this role collaborates systemwide on cross-functional teams to identify and resolve MISO dispute resolutions

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Be an engaged leader on the team, with the ability to transfer knowledge and grow/motivate other individuals, actively work to build relationships within the organization, utilize effective delegation, encourage open dialogue, demonstrate reliability, accountability and adaptability, as well as lead assignments with limited oversight.
  • Lead personnel to ensure timely and accurate settlement of power and transmission activities.
  • Implement and document appropriate controls for each settlement process.
  • Manage accounting and analyze financial and transaction data across operating companies.
  • Oversee payment of MISO invoices and manage the MISO settlement dispute process. This includes partnering with operating companies, Legal, and Operations to identify issues, initiate disputes, and file them appropriately.
  • Develop and implement Scope 2 emissions reporting strategies to support sustainability goals. Adapt strategies for diverse customer requirements and manage long-term reporting and certification needs.
  • Deliver timely, accurate reporting and analysis for requests from Operating Companies, Regulatory, Compliance, and other stakeholders. Prepare testimony and provide subject-matter expertise for audits, litigation, and regulatory filings.
  • Formulate and implement REC/AEC processes to support purchase, registry, sale, and retirement.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to establish process standards and certification.
  • Coordinate mid-office risk reviews of financial transactions and ensure timely, accurate accounting closes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and automation within Settlements teams.
  • Respond to business and customer changes by identifying risks and implementing new approaches.
  • Build and sustain relationships with consultants, vendors, market participants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in systemwide teams to ensure communication, coordination, and consistency across Operating Companies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration (or related field). Graduate degree (MBA or master’s in Finance or Accounting) highly desirable.
  • Experience: Eight or more years in the energy industry, settlements, operations, or a related field.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proven leadership, strong analytical and decision-making skills, ability to build relationships and influence decisions, business and organizational savvy, sound judgment, high integrity, dependability, urgency, and results orientation. Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Windows PC environment. Knowledge of ISOs, GAAP, FERC, and regulatory accounting.
  • Certifications: CFA or CPA preferred.
