In this pivotal role, the Power Generation Resource Planning Analyst is responsible for delving into complex data models and meticulously identifying emerging trends. This position involves modeling and evaluating various generation scenarios, assessing the impact of new technologies and evolving regulations, and providing recommendations to optimize the power generation portfolio. Your presentations will inform and impress both internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating your insights. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed models of the Entergy’s power generation assets, including capacity, efficiency, maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
  • Analyze historical and projected electricity demand patterns, taking into account factors such as economic trends, population growth, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of new generation technologies, such as renewable energy, energy storage, and distributed generation, on Entergy’s resource mix.
  • Assess the effects of regulatory changes, environmental policies, and market conditions on the utility's power generation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and regulatory affairs, to align resource planning with the utility's overall strategic objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in power generation resource planning.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • Desired: Master's Degree.

 

Minimum experience required of the position.

  • Analyst Sr: At least 6+ years of professional experience
  • Analyst Sr Lead: At least 8+ years of professional experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.

Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

 

Minimum Licenses or Certifications required of the position.
