Note: This is an onsite role based out of Nuclear Facility in Killona, LA.  Unescorted Access is required and will involve extensive background checks and pre-employment drug testing and random drug and alcohol testing. Those outside the area, if selected for the opportunity, will be required to relocate to the area.  Relocation Assistance is not available for this posting. 

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The material coordinator is a key interface between internal and external stakeholders. They focus on material planning and availability, catalog accuracy, stocking strategy, project execution, and cost saving initiatives.

 

The Material Coordinator analyzes demand plans, supply stocking strategy, and inbound material/purchase requests to ensure material availability. The coordinator acts as a liaison between the Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) team and internal stakeholders including engineering, work management, planning, maintenance, and operations. Duties will include representing P&SC as the key liaison for work readiness meetings or online and outage demand planning meetings.

 

The role is recognized inside P&SC, and at the business site(s), as someone who can represent, liaise, and collaborate with other functions internal and external to Procurement and Supply Chain in the development of policy, process, procedures, and continuous improvement opportunities in relation to material readiness. The material coordinator assists with the daily work management at the site through coordinating logistics and resolving material constraint challenges. The material coordinator aids in the execution of SOX reviews to ensure compliance.

 

These duties shall be performed in a manner that ensures materials are processed in the most cost effective, efficient, and strategic method with strict adherence to Entergy’s policies, procedures, and core values and an understanding of operational, contractual, and safety risks.

 
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

- Actively promote strong safety behaviors and ensure the team and suppliers always put safety first.

-Develop and execute communication plan strategy for the associated business unit to include work management plan reviews, material needs, and recovery plans.

-Analyzes demand plans, supply stocking strategy, and inbound/outbound material and purchase requests.

-Interfaces with business unit representatives to determine upcoming material demands and priorities and ensure material availability.

-Represent P&SC as the key liaison for work readiness meetings for online, outage, and storm demands.

-Support resolution of material receipt discrepancies.

-Support actions based on Surplus and Plant Obsolete SOX compliance reviews.

-Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives (Engineering Changes, 10CFR50.69 applicability, alternate item numbers, Commercial Grade Dedication, etc.), and provide materials management expertise to solve complex issues. 

-Demonstrates the ability to critically evaluate and challenge material demands by applying expert knowledge.

-Focuses their efforts on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various stages of the supply chain processes and solving material availability issues.

-Provide support to P&SC site supervisor for daily operations. 

-Service orientation: Support improving Key Performance Indicators for P&SC and internal stakeholders. 

-Collaborate with other functions to develop policy, process, procedures, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Support station/business unit with assigned emergency response or storm duties. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

· Material Coordinator, Sr: Preferred bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology plus 2+ years minimum experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operations, or maintenance experience.
• OR in lieu of a degree, minimum combined 6+ years experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operation
or maintenance experience.

Material Coordinator, Sr Lead: Preferred bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology plus 4+ years minimum experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operations, or maintenance experience.
• OR in lieu of a degree, minimum combined 8+ years experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operations, or maintenance experience. 

Material Coordinator, Sr Staff: Preferred bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology plus 6+ years minimum experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operations, or maintenance experience.
• OR in lieu of a degree, minimum combined 10+ years experience in inventory management, supply chain, engineering, planning, operations, or maintenance experience.

 

   Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Technical (Awareness of)

·         Knowledge of understanding and application of How Entergy Buys and Pays (HEBAP) guidelines.

·         Translate complex data and analysis into straight-forward actionable intelligence to support business decisions.

·         Basic knowledge of logistics and shipping processes.

·         Understanding of demand management process and sources of demand as well as how forecasts are developed and used.

·         Understanding of the attributes in inventory management.

·         Ability to perform data/information analyses to assist in decision making.

·         Understanding and experience with business, technical, legal/regulatory, geographic, and commercial facets of the industry as well as supply/demand.

·         Analytical skills and knowledge in purchasing and supply chain operations.

·         Interpersonal skills to promote effective material readiness across business units, functions, and P&SC professionals.

·         Knowledge of integrated supply chain management systems and processes, including ERP systems such as Maximo, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure seamless demand and supply planning.

·         Ability to communicate autonomously with P&SC stakeholders at all levels, delivering key messages concisely, supported by relevant data; influencing skills to develop best outcomes.
