Entergy has entered into an agreement to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business to Bernhard Capital Partners. The sale is expected to close in approximately the third quarter of 2025.  Entergy has no planned reduction in workforce as a result of this sale, and intends to operate the business as usual prior to the sale.

 

Job Summary/Purpose

Manage all aspects of Service work log and projects safely and efficiently to meet customer commits. Support Service Department with large meter sets installs and upgrades, Complete Pinned work orders assigned to your truck in Click Schedule.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Plan, schedule, assign, manage, and monitor work of service activities. Coordinate with contractors, customers, inspectors, and internal gas departments for addressing any issues or complaints, ensuring exemplary customer service.

2. Ensure all work meets company standards and in service dates while ensuring all workmanship complies with Entergy's safety guidelines, practices, and procedures.

3. Work with Engineering and other departments to ensure all facilities are constructed and maintained according to company specifications, standards, and policies.

4. Work emergency or storm restoration in other areas as needed. Read and interpret construction prints, project specifications with Servicemen to plan procedures for meter installation.  

5. Work with external and internal customers. Assume OCs or Supervisor's duties during absences.

6. Field Observations for Service group.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum education required of the position.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

 

Minimum experience required of the position.

  • 5-7 years of gas experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position.

  • Extensive knowledge of the gas distribution system with proven leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated construction experience including ability to operate excavators and boring rig.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and related technology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and dependable team player.

As a safety sensitive position, compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) drug and alcohol regulations is required, including but not limited to pre-employment drug testing and background screening.
