JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Responsible for technical, administrative and oversight functions in support of field telecommunications construction activities.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a lead on information technology initiatives affecting Entergy’s telecommunications resources.
Resolve complex technical and operational problems through experience and coordination of efforts with Entergy personnel,
customers and vendors.
Recommend, plan, schedule and oversee construction and modification of telecommunications infrastructure, systems and
services.
Conduct Safety and QA checks on contractors performing construction work as part of Entergy Telecom’s project portfolio.
Assists with developing and maintaining regional Capital &O&M budgets.
Maintain familiarity with applicable regulations and ensure compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures, and
specifications. Ensure employees, contractors and vendors operate in compliance with Energy’s safety regulations and practices.
Ensure proper follow-up in compliance with Human Performance procedures by creating Condition Reports, conducting causal
analyses and pursuing Corrective Action, as required.
Utilize applicable change management methodology to assure effective implementation of changes. Develop and revise
procedures as required. Maintain familiarity with and follow operating procedures.
Conduct business and analytical studies to integrate business needs into system-wide development plans to ensure customer
needs are met.
Assist development of strategic and tactical plans.
Analyze proposed and actual projects in terms of equipment, software and personnel costs.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Desired: Advanced Degree.


Minimum experience required of the position
5+ years relevant IT experience.
Construction of telecommunications sites, infrastructure, systems and services experience preferred.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
None


Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Be able to maintain a valid Driver's License, TWIC card or other applicable required license, background check, or ID.
