Entergy’s Power Generation group operates a fleet of more than 30 owned, leased, or operated natural gas, coal, oil hydro, solar and petroleum coke plants, with a total engineering capacity exceeding 20,000 megawatts. Entergy continues to build or acquire megawatts from new hydrogen capable natural gas units, solar, wind and other technologies complement its existing megawatts of nuclear, natural gas, coal, oil, hydroelectric, and solar facilities. 

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and inspect deliveries/shipments
  • Pull and prepare material and or equipment for shipment as per DOT requirements
  • Order and issue material and supplies as needed to support operations and maintenance
  • Organize/maintain records of all transactions as per SOX requirements
  • Perform data input into material management system (Passport/Indus)
  • Perform physical inventory
  • Forklift and or crane operations
  • Maintain and use CPC card for vendor stocking (follow all CPC policies related to this task)
  • Work with Senior/Planner Scheduler to secure parts for work orders and schedules

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have current motor vehicle operator’s license in good standing
  • Must have computer skills and knowledge working in programs such as Passport, AIM Work Management, Inventory Management, Excel, and Word
  • Be neat, clean and orderly in work and person
  • Be willing to attend and take part in safety meetings
  • Good oral, written and phone communication skills
  • Must have strength and endurance adequate for labor as circumstances require
  • Should be able to perform at high level without detailed supervision
  • Ability to organize and establish priorities and work under pressure
  • Willing to work extended hours during emergency conditions
  • Have temperament suited to work in harmony with other employees
  • Understand importance of always rendering and maintaining first class, courteous service to all customers
  • Available for callouts
