JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for planning/scheduling/managing distribution customer requested work, mandated work, line maintenance tasks, capital projects and day-to-day design activities for the Distribution Engineering Design team.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for contacting external customers within one working day and scheduling an appointment, if required, for the customer to meet with a Designer. This includes collecting design information while speaking to the customer.
Responsible for interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies related to customer requests. Provides customers with information on the tasks they must complete to be able to receive service on the date requested.
Manage Design resources within a geographic area and matches them to the workload by assigning each Designer to a primary and secondary geographic area. Monitors each Designer’s calendar so that appointments can be made effectively and efficiently.
Communicates regularly with Designers regarding assignments, schedules and questions related to specific customer calls.
Communicate periodically with the Network Line groups to expedite work, if possible, to meet customer’s requested service date or to handle a special request.
Oversees the activities of the Design Coordinator Clerk and periodically performs DC office related activities in their absence.
Identify and rectify the root cause of customer complaints and/or inquiries as appropriate.
Working knowledge of AM/FM-DFM and Maximo as they relate to construction applications.
Reviews and updates Maximo Backlogs for the Distribution Engineering Dept. Identifies deficiencies, analyzes alternatives and recommends solutions.
Serves as a member of the Storm Response Team for restoration efforts. Provides support to the Damage Assessment and/or Logistics functions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
2 years Entergy Transmission or Distribution experience
1 year of Maximo & CCS experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Experience/training in scheduling resources or maintenance and construction practices. Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and database applications. Desired: Knowledge of Maximo; GDT; AMFM DFM; Storm Assist; Power BI; CCS; & Distribution Line construction, maintenance, and materials.
