Entergy’s Nuclear Projects is responsible for planning and implementing capital projects across 4 nuclear stations.    

 

Intern Job Description:  

Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:  

  • Responsible for gathering, verifying, validating and analyzing data in support of project controls reporting of schedule and financial performance.  
  • Generate or assist in generating daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly project controls reports of schedule and financial performance.
  • Perform Change Control by assisting in tracking and managing changes to project scope, schedule and cost baselines.  
  • Identify, assess, gain approval for and distribute change request, change notices and/or change orders in an accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, processes and procedures.  
  • Facilitates project funding approvals in accordance with company policies, processes and procedures.  
  • Processes and codes invoices and contracts as appropriate.
  • Maintain Project Management SharePoint site, procedures, templates, and tools.  
  • Assist with project assessments, benchmarking, reporting, analyses and training.
  • Ability to apply computer attributes using spreadsheets, databases, and other computer software and basic understanding of company policies and procedures.    

 

Education Requirements:  

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline generally associated with business, finance, project management, or engineering.
    • Junior and Senior candidates preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale). 

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position: 

  • Meet access authorization and fitness for duty requirements of a nuclear power station.
