Job Summary/Purpose
Works in coordination with the Operating Companies’ Regulatory Affairs organizations and fellow Transmission Regulatory Affairs Coordinators and Policy Managers within the TP&RS group to bolster and maintain the Power Delivery organization’s relationships with regulatory commissions/authorities. Supports Operating Companies’ regulatory strategies and ensures outcomes meet Companies’ objectives. Supports and ensures Operating Companies’ compliance as required by regulatory commissions/authorities. Advances the Power Delivery organization’s positions with internal and external parties. The primary focus of this position will be on those policies and issues affecting the Entergy Operating Companies’ retail jurisdictions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides analytical support and research for various transmission and distribution initiatives to advance Enterprise goals.
- Develop and assist with the implementation of transmission and distribution strategy in various regulatory cases in consultation with Entergy Legal and Operating Companies' regulatory affairs personnel.
- Support development of testimonies, filings, and data request responses on transmission-related issues and policies.
- Supports the evaluation of regulatory issues on behalf of the Entergy Operating Companies and other business units.
- Provides industry expertise and applies best practices to projects and assignments based on experience.
- Stays abreast of regulatory or political changes that may impact Entergy policy decision making.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the above activities with the Manager, RTO Policy, Transmission Policy Manager, Distribution Policy Manager, and Transmission Regulatory Affairs Coordinators.
- Monitor local/state/PSC proceedings and communicate business implications to Entergy functional groups.
- Be familiar with local/PSC rules and regulations and their proposed amendments.
- Support local/state regulatory activities:
- rate case, rider, storm cost recovery, and formula rate plan (FRP) filings
- certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) filings
- fuel audit filings
- Support federal/MISO regulatory activities as needed:
- Operating Companies’ annual Attachment O and Appendices G/H filings
- Participate in industry committees, working groups, and task forces as needed
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience.
- Master's Degree is a plus.
Minimum experience required of the position
- At least 10 years of professional experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills with ability to work under stressful situations.
- Desired skills: Planning and organizing skills; Problem solving and Strategic thinking; and Communicating effectively.
- Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
