Associate Analyst I – II Credit & Collections
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
This position is responsible for supporting daily operations of Credit & Collections in the Meter to Cash (M2C) customer billing and payment journey. Assignments vary and will be given based on the needs of the department. Examples of duties may include processing financial transactions and payments, performing basic bookkeeping tasks, answering customer’s inquiries, reviewing customer’s accounts for accuracy and other administrative duties. Individuals may be required to interact with various cross-functional groups to address customer related issues. Applicants must have a strong customer mind-set and be committed to providing a positive customer service experience to business partners and customers.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work independently on assigned task related to a customer’s account, meter data, payments, etc, document sources and work with relevant external / internal stakeholders and customers to ensure tasks are completed accurate and timely
- Serve customers and business partners by providing information, responding to requests, identifying and resolving problems, explaining procedures, and executing on required adjustments when related to the end-to-end meter-to-cash process
- Execute business processes and perform quality control analysis to resolve concerns and ensure consistency, report issues to appropriate parties when inconsistencies and irregularities arise
- Participate in special projects as defined by management to support business processes
- Provide guidance, mentoring and help facilitate training for junior clerks, along with providing support to update and revise training when process issues are identified
- Improve quality results by evaluating processes and recommending changes
- Assist with quarterly SOX testing based on defined protocols and participate in departmental records retention for data quality assurance and controls/compliancy
- Participate in defining requirements and testing functionality for new automation and programs and make recommendations on procedures and courses of action related to the department's performance and operational efficiency
- Be Team Lead of some processes; to include training and coaching of various Credit & Collections peers
- Assist in driving continuous improvement projects to completion to drive operational efficiency
- Understand metric trends and recommend opportunities for improvement,
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum experience required of the position
Associate Analyst I: 0-2 years of clerk level related work experience (such as: customer services, data entry, account management, etc. C&C or M2C experience strongly preferred)
Associate Analyst II & III: 2-7 years of clerk level related work experience (such as: customer services, data entry, account management, etc. C&C or M2C experience strongly preferred)
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office and other Entergy system applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (able to clearly communicate with supervisor/manager and others within/outside the organization)
- Solves problems in a straightforward situation; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
- A self-starter with high initiatives and able to work with minimal supervision, independently and within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new processes and work extended hours (as needed)
