JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

This position provides oversight and mentoring of the Entergy Fleet NRC examination development and implementation. This includes the NRC Initial License Operator Examinations and the Biennial/Annual Operating Examinations for licensed operator continuing training to satisfy the requirements of 10CFR55, Operator Licenses

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides oversight and mentoring of NRC Operations Examination development and implementation to ensure compliance with 10CFR55 and NUREG 1021.
  • Drives standardization of fleet-wide operations training programs to achieve common qualifications, common training materials, and common training program structures related to NRC Operations Examinations, including examination security requirements.
  • Represents Ops Training at meetings with the industry, regulators, INPO, and others to discuss and resolve matters impacting NRC Examination Development and regulations.
  • Reviews, evaluates and supports site training departments execution of operator training programs, as it relates to NRC exam development, periodic/comprehensive examinations, audit examinations, examination security and assessments of station performance.
  • Establishes and ensures consistency in the use of a fleet standard database for licensed operator exam banks to meet the requirements of NUREG 1021.
  • Assists in providing governance and oversight of fleet training programs as directed by the Manager, Fleet Operations Training. 

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

None

 

Minimum experience required of the position

Three (3) years’ experience in nuclear licensed operator training (initial and/or continuing). Current or previous qualification as a NRC Exam Development Lead or equivalent  and has successfully developed at least one complete NRC Initial License Examination.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

In depth understanding of the licensed operator examination requirements (10CFR55 and NUREG 1021). Demonstrated project management skills. Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR desired.
