The focus of this position is to build deeper relationships with nuclear alliance and strategic vendor partners. The aim is to increase mutually beneficial opportunities that increase sustainable value for both Entergy and vendor stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a track record of vendor relationship experience who can create competitive options for high-quality, long-term relationships with select vendor partners.  Candidate should have a competitive mind-set and the ability to create winning partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders in a dynamic operational fleet-facing environment. 



  • Promotes safe behavior, in accordance with Company expectations, and adherence to the safety rules on all work within the scope of supported vendor relationships. 
  • Develops critical relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to allow more effective execution of scope with vendor partners.  
  • Commands a full understanding of the contractual aspects of vendor relationships for which the position is responsible. 
  • Supports contracting strategies that deliver superior economic performance and can be executed safely, with high quality, and deliver cost and schedule certainty. 
  • Utilizes commercial expertise to solidify commercial agreements and delivers successfully negotiated contracts with the partnership of key stakeholders. 
  • Negotiates with affected stakeholders and resolves contract challenges.  Builds and utilizes relationships with Supply Chain to ensure effective vendor interaction across the fleet. 
  • Provides clear, timely and accurate presentations to executive management on the status of vendor relationships as required.  
  • Identifies issues, both commercial or practical that could affect the vendor relationship, ensures timely decision and actions are being taken, and ensures issues are promptly communicated to executive leadership as necessary.  




Minimum education preferred for the position: 

  • B.S. in Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or applicable course of study. 
  • Preferred: MBA  


Minimum experience required of the position: 

  • Preferred: At least 5 years’ experience in capital projects development, execution, or oversight. Nuclear project experience.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position: 

  • Functional Knowledge: Requires broad and comprehensive understanding of work planning and execution within operational power generation facilities. 

  • Business Expertise: Applies broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance of vendor partners. 

  • Leadership: Executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategy with vendor partners.  Achieves results through influence of fleet personnel, headquarters personnel, and vendor leaders.  

  • Problem Solving: Coordinates the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced analytical thought and judgment. 

  • Impact: Guided by functional strategy, impacts results of part of a function, division, or region, or facilitates the work done by other functions by providing support to impact the business. 

  • Personal Skills: Negotiates and influences the opinions of others within the business unit and in external organizations, exercises sensitivity to the audience.
