Note: This is an onsite position will be located at the Entergy Nuclear Headquarters Building, Echelon One, located in Jackson, MS.  To be considered you must live in the area or be wililing to relocate to the Greater Jackson area.  Relocation assistance is not available for this posting.  The position will be titled Scheduler, I, Scheduler, II, or Scheduler, Sr, depending on level of experience.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Develops and maintains schedules for a portfolio of capital projects across the entire nuclear fleet. Drives scheduling practices, metrics, and reporting standardization as the corporate subject matter expert. Develops detailed schedules using logic ties in Primavera (P-6) software. Supports portfolio prioritization based on schedule inputs and constraints.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, develop and update project schedules for use in project planning and schedule execution for all phases of project execution for Corporate and/or Site Projects. Utilize and modify pre-established templates to build project schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze detailed project schedule reports to ensure effective project execution and feedback. Coordinate with project team members directly to update schedule status for assigned activities.
  • Lead project scheduling meetings to collect current schedule information, provide current schedule status, develop schedule mitigation strategies and to provide look-ahead updates to project teams.
  • Assist with the maintenance and enhancement of fleet master project scheduling templates and reports.
  • Run weekly and monthly site schedule reports.
  • Other assignments as directed by management, such as outage schedule challenges and the performance of self-assessments to support continuous learnings of the organization.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required for the position.

  • Scheduler I:  Desired: Technical degree or other scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience.
  • Scheduler II: Desired: B.S. Degree in Engineering or another scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent experience.
  • Scheduler Sr: Desired: B.S. Degree in Engineering or another scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or equivalent work experience.

 

Minimum experience required for the position.

  • Scheduler I: At least 1 year of nuclear power plant experience.
  • Scheduler II: 
    • At least 3 years of nuclear power plant experience.
    • Desired: At least 3 years of nuclear power plant scheduling experience.
  • Scheduler Sr:
    • 4 years of nuclear power plant experience.
    • Desired: at least 4 years of nuclear power plant scheduling experience 
    • Desired: 2 years' experience in maintenance, operations, or project management at the facility. 10 or more years of nuclear experience; managing/scheduling projects.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position. 

  • Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations. 
  • Proficiency with current computer business applications. (Microsoft 365, Primavera P6, IBM Maximo)
  • Desired: Outstanding communication, organization, and conflict management skills.
  • Desired: Proficiency with current computer business applications, including Primavera Analytics.
  • Highly Desired: Previous project controls/project management experience.

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position: 

Desired: PMP: Project Management Professional Certification.
