Job Summary/Description

The Business Operations and Strategy team plays a critical role in shaping Entergy Louisiana’s (ELL) strategic direction by aligning key Operating Company (OpCo) and enterprise functions to drive results. The Business Operations Analyst will support the development of business cases for project prioritization, strategic planning, and implementation across the generation and transmission portfolios, energy efficiency and demand-side management programs, and emerging technologies.

 

This role will also be responsible for developing and implementing dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs), managing discovery responses for regulatory cases before the Louisiana Public Service Commission, and researching new policies and trends in the energy industry.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support development of the Operating Company business plan, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives
  • Develop and track metric, scorecards, and accountability measures to monitor performance and progress against strategic goals
  • Improve internal decision-making tools and business processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental internal controls to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness
  • Support investor relations communications, advisory board strategy discussions, and other customer facing presentations. 
  • Support customer partnerships and MOU discussions for renewables and customer specific sustainability plans
  • Support Power Through program, distributed generation, non-wires alternatives, Geaux Green and future expansions of products and services
  • Engagement with Customer Service, CCO, KSL, Economic Development, Industrial Accounts, and KAMs on ELL programs
  • Support resilience filings and outcomes
  • Develop and support analyses required for ELL’s retail and wholesale generation planning efforts
  • Develop and support analyses for ELL’s transmission planning efforts
  • Manage the Entergy Louisiana Operating Committee

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Analyst I: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Analyst II: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Analyst III: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Analyst Sr: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience   
    • Desired: MBA 

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience
  • Analyst Sr.: 6 plus years of professional experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience working on multiple assignments
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
  • No supervisory responsibilities but has the ability to provide informal guidance to partners across the enterprise and explain complex information to others in a straightforward situation
  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
