Job Summary/Description

The Analyst, Business Operations & Strategy will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives that drive performance, improve processes, and deliver results for Entergy Louisiana. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to gain broad utility industry experience and contribute to high-impact projects across customer service, operations, regulatory affairs, economic development, and infrastructure planning. The Analyst will also support enterprise-wide initiatives, including execution efforts tied to large-scale projects serving hyperscale and industrial customers.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of OpCo strategy and business plans by partnering across functions, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining strategies that advance customer growth, affordability, reliability, and sustainability objectives.
  • Track and report on performance metrics—including scorecards and weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive reviews—to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Assist with the coordination and tracking of strategic initiatives across customer service, operations, regulatory, public affairs, and capital project teams.
  • Prepare materials for regulatory, customer, and internal engagement, including presentations, memos, executive briefings, and meeting support.
  • Participate in governance and strategy meetings to ensure alignment, drive accountability, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze hyperscale program execution (e.g., cost, schedule, risk) and provide recommended actions to leadership and execution teams.
  • Collaborate with project controls and cost analyst teams to maintain an integrated program view and support reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
  • Learn and apply foundational knowledge of utility operations, regulatory frameworks, and commercial execution.

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related field required or equivalent work experience
  • Desired: MBA 

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience
  • Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience
  • Senior Analyst:  6+ years of professional experiene 

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience working on multiple assignments
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
  • No supervisory responsibilities but has the ability to provide informal guidance to partners across the enterprise and explain complex information to others in a straightforward situation
  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
  • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies
