- Job Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining company aircraft to insure safe, reliable transportation for company personnel, conducting operations within FAA rules and regulations, company policy and NBAA/HAI accepted good operating practice procedures.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises contract maintenance personnel during all activities.
- Coordinates major inspections with flight and scheduling personnel to insure minimum aircraft downtime.
- Coordinate daily maintenance with flight personnel to maximize aircraft availability.
- Ensures constant cleanliness of aircraft at technician’s location and maintenance facilities.
- Assumes responsibility for maintenance of aircraft storage facilities, all aircraft ground handling, and support equipment.
- Approves purchase of parts and supplies.
- Coordinates with vendors for loaner parts and equipment.
- Negotiates least cost alternatives for all purchases.
- Establishes and manages vendor accounts and services.
- Coordinates freight delivery services.
- Maintains aircraft logbooks, associated paperwork, and Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program.
- Maintains publication library to ensure accuracy and currency.
- Attends recurrent training sessions to maintain a high level of proficiency.
- Job Requirements:
- Work Location and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds of equipment or luggage, as needed.
- Ability to walk, stand, squat, bend, twist, stoop approximately 90% of shift, as needed.
- Typically works 8-hour shifts, but schedule may change due to flight schedules.
- Must be available to provide 24-7 on call support as well as work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with people across the department.
- Ability to work a rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after hours call outs.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and man lifts.
- Ability to perform elevated work with fall protection.
- Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices.
- Available for occasional travel for offsite maintenance, managing projects, and training.
- Minimum education required of the position:
- Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position:
- 5 years’ experience working as an Aircraft Technician or other comparable combination of education and experience.
- 3 years’ experience working on turbine powered aircraft or other comparable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the planning, implementation, and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated. Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance.
- Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:
- Possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License

- Experience on Bell 429 helicopter and/or Bombardier 300/350/3500 aircraft.
- Experience with Veryon [formerly Flightdocs].
