Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes applicable change management methodology to assure effective implementation of procedure changes including interfacing between Operations and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts or obtains necessary 10 CFR 50.59 reviews.
  • Participates in corrective action program activities including self-assessments, benchmarking and condition reporting and response.
  • Exhibits strong teamwork and problem solving skills.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures and specifications. Is familiar with the station operating license, technical specifications, operating procedures and other applicable regulations and plant databases. Is familiar with routine operating data, reports, and logs; reviews and evaluates data as directed.
  • Proposes procedure changes that improve station and personnel efficiency. Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. Performs other activities as assigned by line or station management.

 

Minimum education required of this position:

Desired: 2 or 4 year Technical Degree

 

Minimum experience required of the position:

2 years of commercial nuclear power plant experience in operations or equivalent nuclear-related experience.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical documents.
  • Broad technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
  • Desired: Familiarity with company policies and procedures; Proficiency with current computer based applications including Microsoft Word.

Desired: License or certification on BWR or PWR.
