Technician B III -Nuclear (Craft) Radiation Protection

Perform radiological surveys on the primary, secondary, auxiliary systems, plant buildings and grounds.



1. Provide contamination and dose control. Maintain the Radiation Work Permit Program.

2. Track radiation exposure for personnel and work tasks. Determine methods to reduce radiation exposure.

3. Provide radiation protection coverage for work tasks. Establish worker stay times.

4. Establish radiological work requirements. Maintain laboratory quality control. Perform instrument calibration and operation. Respond to off normal conditions.

5. Maintain radiation exposures ALARA. Maintain radiation exposures within limits. Maintain respiratory protection program.

6. Radiologically post the power plant. Respond to off normal radiological conditions. Understand adverse radiological conditions on equipment and personnel performance. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.



Minimum experience required of the position

Technician III: 4 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations.


Desired Qualificaitons:

  • Asset Suite, Sentinel and P6 software experience highly desired.
  • ALARA experience 



Working Conditions: 
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Company Testing:

Succesful completion of EEI TECH test.
