Brief Position Description

The Data Security & Investigations Analyst assists with execution in collecting access and activity data across disparate IT/OT assets to build a fuller picture of user activity for review and investigation. Creates badges and manually provisions access that cannot be automatically managed through the Identity Management System (IDM). Delivers outstanding customer service by working with the team to streamline and improve Data Security processes and procedures.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • AD account maintenance
  • Manually provision access for systems and applications in cases where it cannot be automatically handled by the IDM systems
  • Improve operational efficiencies through the identification of automation opportunities and working to develop and deliver solutions for those opportunities
  • Assist with adherence to specific requirements of North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP), CIP-004, CIP-006, CIP-007, CIP-014, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Nuclear Cyber (10 CFR 73.54), as directed
  • Execute, as directed, on granting/revocation of 3rd party access to ensure safety of Entergy’s data and compliance with regulations
  • Support incident response and data breach management, as directed
  • Issue physical badges in accordance with all identity management and regulatory policies
  • Day-to-day operational involvement of teamwork activities

 

Education Needed

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience in any area requiring critical thinking and problem solving
    • Bachelors Degree or work experience in STEM focused areas preferred

 

Experience Required

  • Analyst I:  0-2 years of experience in a technical role or other relatable experience such as:
      • experience in a data analysis and collection role
      • experience working in cross-functional teams delivering solutions
      • experience in call center and/or customer service roles

 

  • Analyst II:  2 plus years of experience in a technical role or any of the following:
      • experience in a data analysis and collection role
      • experience working in cross-functional teams delivering solutions
      • experience in call center and/or customer service roles
    • Desired:
      • 1 plus year experience in Identity and Access Management specific to provisioning and administration in one or more of the following is a plus:
        • LDAP / Directory Services
        • Identity and Access Management Systems
        • Privilege Access Management (PAM) and/or Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
        • Physical Security access systems

 

  • Analyst III:  4 plus years of relevant experience in a technical role
    • Desired:
      • 1 year IT service desk / customer support experience is a plus
      • 3 plus years’ experience in provisioning and administration in one or more of the following is a plus:
        • LDAP / Directory Services
        • Identity and Access Management Systems
        • Privilege Access Management (PAM) and/or Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
        • Physical Security access systems, tools and technologies

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Ability to work independently in a structured environment and deliver quality work in a timely manner
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working in partnership with colleagues on cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in an on-call team rotation preferred but not required
  • Good communication skills
  • Available to travel within the Entergy service territory
  • Data management, manipulation and reporting with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven work experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
    • Identity and Access Management foundational skills using the concepts of least privilege access in delivering identification, authentication, authorization and accountability
    • Proficiency in directory services such as Active Directory (AD) and other LDAP platforms
    • Operational tasks in support of tools and technologies such as: basic networking and administration skills, privilege access management (PAM), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Identity and Access Management platforms, physical security access systems, scripting and automation
    • Working knowledge in practical application of various regulatory standards such as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
    • Data aggregation, manipulation and presentation as they specifically apply to IAM use cases
    • Work management and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position

  • CompTIA Security+ or other technical certifications are a plus
