Job Summary/Purpose

Responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing work schedules across two weeks. Plans tasks, projects, and day-to-day activities, including work orders for simple projects encompassing both short- and long-cycle work. Manages exceptions associated with Click-generated schedules for simple projects while coordinating with multiple internal groups and contractors.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Verifies crew assignments for next day; documents non-wrench/non-availability time; creates/cancels work orders; notifies networks of due/overdue work
  • Coordinates with Ops Coordinators, Design/Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, Construction, Major Accounts, Asset Management, and Distribution Operations Center on contractor work, job assignments, site readiness, job scope, work packages, prerequisites, and material/T&E estimates
  • Monitors contractor schedule adherence and flags exceptions against contract assignment criteria
  • Prepares and updates two-week schedule using crew capacity, vetted backlog, and Quarterly Plan; maintains 3-week forecast
  • Reviews backlog for new work orders and forecasts for potential start dates
  • Receive approved prioritized work for contract compliance for contractor assignments
  • Bundles work for efficiency; manage fleet and material planning
  • Follows proper procedures for emergency/unplanned work and adjusts schedule with approvals as needed
  • Screens and consolidates work orders for simple projects using Maximo; manages work order hand-off for design engineering cases
  • Maintains and updates scheduled work, resolves time constraint conflicts, identifies variances, develops explanations for schedule changes, monitors closeout tasks, and sends reminders
  • Identifies Click schedule errors, analyzes alternatives, and recommends solutions to conflicts; works with affected parties to resolve/mitigate issues
  • Assists Ops Coordinators with backlog management and work order closeout
  • Integrates job readiness info from Site Readiness meetings into two-week plan
  • Adjust schedules and work plans based on stakeholder feedback from weekly calls and outage planning
  • Leads and facilitates weekly scheduling conference calls and mid-week touchpoints with local management and stakeholders
  • Serves as a member of Incident Response Team

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position
Associate degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum experience required of the position
Planner Scheduler I: 2-4 years’ experience

Planner Scheduler II: 4-6 years’ experience

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliverables. Ability to work with multiple levels of the organizational structure. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Experience/training in planning and scheduling activities. Strong knowledge of and expertise with computer technology. Strong decision-making skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Self-motivated and dependable team player.
