JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Supervisor-Repair Shops reports to the Manager, Repair Shops. This position is accountable/responsible for the first quartile safe and efficient supervision of Repair shop in Little Rock, AR activities including the testing, repair and/or scrapping of oil filled equipment returned from the field. Responsible for the supervision of non-exempt and bargaining unit staff that performs the operations of the shop. Responsible for field tool testing and for contract management related to meter testing, refurbishment, and disposition of meters returned from the field. Responsible for customer interaction and communications. Responsible for coordinating and successfully completing field service repairs.

Onsite office location in Little Rock, AR. The position SCOl require at least 25% travel to the field and corporate offices across the fleet.
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety/Human Performance: Ensure the Team always puts safety first. Actively promote strong safety behaviors, utilizing key tools such as Close Call /Good Catch in addition to proactive field visits to review standards and behaviors. Monitoring and influencing Suppliers to proactively identify any safety concerns. Oversee non-exempt and/or bargaining unit staff and provide continuous training in safety and shop operations.
- Warehouse, Inventory & Warehousing Initiative: Responsible for advocating and supporting of multi-year SCO strategic roadmap to world class, optimization of the capital required for inventory, establishing clear service levels that incorporate an acceptable risk profile, liaising with customers to obtain feedback on performance, assuring execution oversight and delivery of all daily SCO operations, developing and monitoring key financial and operational performance indicators to drive results, ensuring key processes, systems and interfaces are effective and as efficient as possible across the SCO cycle, establish clarity and expectations at the customer interfaces on the front and back end of the SCO process supporting the T&D business functions.
- Network Optimization: Accountable for the ongoing end to end optimization and improvement of the company’s SCO Distribution network operations from Work Management through to Delivery to Operations in the field. This activity includes review of physical structures, unit cost structure, supporting new technology, workforce capabilities, planning, development and diversity supporting the T&D business functions.
- Logistics Management: Accountable for optimizing inbound and outbound logistics through effective contracting of transportation services, planning optimal economic order quantities, logistics scheduling, etc. supporting the T&D business functions.
- Budget and Cost Prudency: Responsible for the efficient management of budget and cost for overall operations. Work with Finance to provide supply chain data on distribution costs and analysis of the impact on cost of services. Forecasts any changes in service costs and provides forecasted updates to Finance and Marketing as required.
- Customer Service: Efficiently and effectively resolve customer complaints and/or field service repairs. Provide guidance and leadership in driving the distribution operations team in the development and execution of continuous initiatives to achieve year over year direct, indirect cost improvements. Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute departmental plans to reduce expenses at each of the operating locations, including monthly reporting of key performance metrics.
- Incident Response: Lead and provide best-in-class storm response performance. Develop and execute capacity planning and scheduling of the energy generating facility and develop and execute material planning and logistics to support distribution facility.
- Partnership: Accountable for establishing and maintaining healthy and positive stakeholder relationships. This activity includes establishing cross-functional and cross-sector teams with key stakeholders and creating a multi-year demand plans with integrated supply chain solutions.
- Culture: At all times the Supervisor, Repair Shops shall operate with the highest ethical standards and in full compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, regulations, and laws. Accountable through supply base partners to execute Entergy’s Supplier Diversity & Local Spend objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
- Supply Chain degree or bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- MS/MBA degree preferred. Professional supply chain/procurement certification preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
- 5 years of experience in materials/warehousing, purchasing, contracts or project management in manufacturing or Entergy Repair Shop environment.
- 3 years of supervisory experience and/or equivalent leadership experience.
- Related energy Supply Chain experience preferred.
Desired knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical apparatus and their applications.
- Strong knowledge of repair shop operations.
- Subject matter expert on oil filled equipment rebuild and testing standards. Working knowledge of distribution materials and their application in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and apply appropriate actions to shop processes.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a staff of non-exempt and/or bargaining unit employees.
- Familiar with OSHA and DOT regulations and reporting requirements. Strong understanding of environmental regulations as they relate to shop operations.
- Demonstrated ability to energize workforce regarding safety programs. Some knowledge of bargaining unit contracts and the ability to interpret and follow the rules established by the contract.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of interfacing departments' processes and priorities. Advanced computer skills with a solid knowledge and understanding of AM/FM and MS Toolkit applications.
- Outstanding communication, conflict management and change management skills. Ability to make timely decisions that utilize available material and resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Ability to provide effective leadership in a team environment.
