JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Performs a variety of routine and standard maintenance, testing and repairs on distribution oil filled equipment. Also conducts field testing and repair of equipment as needed. 


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluates condition of oil filled equipment and makes repair recommendations.
  • Complete repairs to equipment according to established operating procedures.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks and jib cranes to handle equipment.
  • Properly label and package equipment according to Entergy specifications for shipment to end user.
  • Conduct field repair and testing. Also perform repair and calibrations on more complex devices.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations and assists shop crew to meet daily goals.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
High school degree or equivalent.

 

Minimum experience required of the position

1 - 2 years of industrial repair shop experience 


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials, able to perform basic math calculations, some knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements.
  • Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and small cranes. Must have valid driver’s license.
