Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Individual will be responsible for supporting revenue accounting close and analyzing monthly revenue results and variances for senior management. 
Responsibilities will include retail revenue reporting and analysis, price and usage analysis, calculation of unbilled revenue, and net revenue reporting and analysis as well as support of various ad hoc data requests.
 
Minimum education required for this position:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience

 
Experience required for this position:

  • Accountant Lead 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • Accountant Sr. Lead 8+ years of experience in accounting

 
Preferred Qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum accounting work related experience of 5 years 
  • Proficient in the application of accounting controls and processes
  • Proficient in use of MS Office application
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Displays strong analytical skills by efficiently using knowledge of tools and business processes to identify problems and resolve issues.
  • Strong focus on process improvements
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Utility accounting experience; working knowledge of the FERC uniform system of accounts a plus

 
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Working knowledge of Entergy business and processes
  • working knowledge of the FERC uniform system of accounts a plus
  • Knowledge of accounting controls and processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Displays strong analytical skills by efficiently using knowledge of tools and business processes to identify problems and resolve issues.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Utility accounting experience desired

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Desired: Advanced Degree and Professional Certifications such as CPA or making progress toward CPA.
