The Analyst is responsible for developing, communicating, and analyzing the Utility 5-year and long-term revenue forecasts, present estimates, and/or business scenarios to assist in establishing financial plans and driving new revenue growth business decisions and regulatory strategy.



Develop the Utility 5-year and long-term billed and unbilled revenue forecasts, present estimates, and/or business scenarios (including detail at the Operating Company, top industrial, rate class, revenue class, and monthly levels) to support strategic, financial, and regulatory decisions and align with the Utility’s long-term strategy.


Provide rate and revenue analysis to support new revenue growth strategies and regulatory decisions and identify risks/opportunities.


Provide rate and revenue analysis to identify and explain drivers of forecast variances.


Perform the monthly weather normalization process.


Develop weather normalization models, including continuous improvement and refinement, for financial reporting and regulatory filings.



Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.

Desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math


Minimum experience required of the position

Analyst Sr - At least 6 years of professional experience.

Analyst, Sr. Lead - At least 8 years of professional experience 

Analyst, Sr. Staff - At least 10 years of professional experience

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Desired: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to identify problems, trends, and reasonableness and recommend solutions; Ability to manage multiple assignments and frequently changing priorities; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization; Understanding of utility rates and rate structure; Understanding of and proficiency in modeling and forecasting; Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; Willingness to learn new processes and technologies.
