JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
This role supports reporting and analytics focused on Entergy’s Accelerated Resiliency Portfolio. This job focuses on quantitative data analysis across all Operating Companies with approved Resiliency Plans and will be responsible for the development of accurate charts and graphs conveying the status and trends of Resiliency progress and risks to inform executive-level internal reporting, external regulatory reporting, program-level strategy decisions, and continuous improvement opportunities.

This position provides support and insights into the end-to-end project lifecycle. In addition to building data visualizations to support ongoing reports, this analyst role will also support data validation and analytics to drive enhanced insights into portfolio performance. Insights will stretch across all aspects of project and program management, including cost, schedule, scope, and risk. The chosen candidate should have advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to intake large data sets from multiple sources and effectively evaluate these data sets to identify major takeaways and actionable outcomes.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program while gaining exposure across multiple stakeholder groups including project management, project controls, regulatory affairs, and legal.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads development of data visualizations (charts, graphs, etc.) for both internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Track and report on performance metrics including, schedule milestones, cost data, and scope evolutions to ensure alignment with targeted goals.
  • Coordinate closely with reporting database and Power BI development team to ensure consistent reporting methodologies and results.
  • Perform ad hoc data validation and detailed analysis across multiple related data sources to support necessary day-to-day insights for effective program management.
  • Review and analyze execution data to identify continuous improvement opportunities and recommend actions to leadership and execution teams.
  • Collaborate with numerous stakeholders, particularly Project Management & Project Controls, to ensure alignment and to identify additional value-add analysis opportunities.
  • Learn and apply foundation knowledge of Resiliency processes to inform enhancements to existing processes and tools.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum experience required of the position
Analyst, III:  4-6 years of professional experience

Analyst, Sr:  6+ years of professional experience


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Superior skills in spreadsheet analytics.

Experience working on multiple assignments with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Understanding of key business drivers, particularly project management fundamentals.

Displays ability to provide informal guidance to partners across various stakeholder groups and to explain complex information in a straightforward manner.

Solves problems within defined boundaries.

Analyzes potential solutions using technical experience, judgment, and established precedent.

Desired: Proficiency in use of Power BI. MBA
