**The official title of this position will be as an HR Rep II or HR Rep Sr.**

Job Summary/Purpose:

TR Compensation: Provides oversight and comprehensive analytical support for Entergy’s compensation programs. Supports the design, development and administration of compensation initiatives and programs. Serves as compensation subject matter expert to assigned customer area in support of the organization’s overall business strategy. Effectively leverages systems and technologies in the delivery of compensation programs and initiatives.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning, design, evaluation, project management and administration of compensation initiatives and programs that support the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Executes analytical assignments involving the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs. Researches and analyzes data and prepares recommendations for compensation programs to ensure desired competitive market position is maintained.
  • Conducts predictive analytics, data analysis, modeling, and creates ad-hoc reports to support compensation programs, planning and studies.
  • Responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and classification of new and existing jobs, utilizing external/internal market data to make appropriate recommendations. Provides comprehensive internal and external equity reviews.
  • Provides governance and oversight to the annual first quarter compensation cycle which includes merit, short-term incentive and long-term incentive. Acts as a key contributor by providing analytical and technical support.
  • Maintains compensation software, and serve as subject matter expert on Fusion software.  Define and document functional requirements, coordinate with technical staff, complete business analysis, project management, systems testing for system related projects, and implement solutions. Manages market data for Entergy’s internal system as well the external data system.
  • Participates in various industry benchmarking surveys, determines benchmark positions, and conduct analysis of internal data and survey results.
  • Keep abreast of trends and changes in Compensation analytics and practices; proactively.
  • Provides support for various initiatives such as FLSA review, pay analysis, etc. Interfaces with other corporate functions (Business Partners, HRO, Employment, Labor and SEC Legal, Accounting, Finance, Payroll, IT, etc.) as well as other ETR groups (e.g., Treasury) throughout the year to support various programs to ensure compensation components are administered accurately.
  • Assists with managing vendor administration/relationships and works with vendors. Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy.  Ensures vendor is meeting contractual obligations.  Vendors include: Market Pay, Online Rewards, Computershare, and Equiniti.
  • Oversees compliance monitoring: Ensures legal compliance.  Oversees execution of SOX testing Works with auditors as necessary to provide the information they need to monitor the accuracy of the plan administration.
  • Provides analytical support for regulatory rate cases.  Support Request for Information (RFIs) as needed.  Supports union contract negotiations as needed. Supports M&A work as directed.
  • Executive Compensation: Performs analysis and prepares draft summary presentations on various executive and/or other compensation programs. Includes the preparation of data to be used by executive compensation consultant.  Supports the analysis, assessment, design, implementation and administration of targeted compensation programs to address business challenges such as retaining employee talent.
  • Develops and compiles information for disclosure in the Compensation, Discussion and Analysis section of the Proxy and 10K.  Works with auditors to review and provide input to the 10K, 10Q, Proxy, CD&A, CEO Pay Ratio etc..

 

Minimum education required of the position:

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (Math, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field) or equivalent work experience. MBA or graduate level degree desired.

 

Minimum experience required of the position:

HR Rep II: 4-5 years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant related experience without a bachelor’s degree.

Sr HR Rep: 6+ years of relevant HR experience with a bachelor’s degree; 10+ years of relevant related experience without a bachelor’s degree.

Note: Finance, Accounting or other business analysis experience may be applied to experience requirements based on internal process.

 

Desired experience:

Strong analytical and systems (Excel, HRIS, etc.) experience (number of years commensurate with job level).

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position (varies dependent upon job level):

  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to collect and analyze data, provide accurate information, problem solve and make decisions.
  • Strong ability to handle ambiguity and/or work in agile environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as with a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple and time sensitive projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentially of sensitive data and records.
  • Experience with HRIS applications and reporting (e.g., PeopleSoft, Fusion and COGNOS).
  • Experience with mathematics, data analysis, accounting, or business statistics.
  • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong quantitative skills and experience building models in systems such as Excel, Access, etc.
    • Experience using data manipulation in Excel spreadsheets to solve complex problems.
    • Experience using complex formulas in Excel.
  • Experience working independently, prioritizing activities, and self-managing work focus and time for optimum results.
  • Experience building positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience communicating persuasively and delivering a clear and concise message.  Further, must be able to communicate professionally with internal and external clients including senior leaders.
  • Experience capturing and organizing data in a manner that allows for impactful analysis and insights.
