The Director of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities plays a critical role in advancing Entergy’s mission to become the premier utility by delivering sustainable value to our four core stakeholders: customers, employees, communities, and owners. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, strategic, and growth-oriented leader to oversee the planning, execution, and management of Entergy’s real estate and facilities portfolio.
This role demands a commercially driven individual with strong financial and business acumen, and deep experience leading complex, enterprise-wide real estate functions. A key focus of the role will be enabling hyperscale customer growth, particularly through strategic siting and infrastructure development to support mega data centers and other large-load projects.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of approximately 800 direct and indirect employees managing a portfolio of ~500 properties totaling over 5 million square feet, primarily across Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas.
- Drive real estate strategies for large-scale customer projects that require significant land and power infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate zoning, permitting, and infrastructure planning efforts.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to streamline land acquisition, right-of-way procurement, substation siting, and easement approvals.
- Oversee all real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, land swaps, and joint-use agreements.
- Strategically plan and optimize the company’s owned and leased real estate portfolio to enhance long-term value and operational readiness.
- Direct planning, modernization, and day-to-day operations of Entergy’s internal facilities (offices, service centers, critical infrastructure), ensuring alignment with resiliency, safety, sustainability, and regulatory objectives.
- Lead infrastructure capital planning and oversee major capital projects including new construction, renovations, and relocations.
- Serve as a thought leader in workplace strategy, focusing on hybrid work models, employee experience, and space optimization.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred.
Minimum experience required of the position
15+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of large-scale, complex real estate portfolios.
