Job Summary/Purpose

Entergy is transforming its Products and Services function, developing new and innovative solutions that are responsive to evolving customer needs.  The Energy Efficiency Solutions Manager is responsible for developing and implementing customer-driven solutions that utilize energy efficiency products and services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across all of Entergy’s gas and electric service territories in Texas, Louisiana, New Orleans, Arkansas, and Mississippi.  Energy Efficiency products and services include rebate programs for lighting, pumps, motors, HVAC, and appliances; weatherization; home and commercial energy audits and reports, and other related offerings that help customers consume less energy.  This person will be responsible for the modeling, commercial development, vendor selection, contract negotiations, contract management, marketing, and developing and managing product financials.  Additionally, the successful candidate will provide mentorship to other Entergy employees and be the company’s thought-leader on all things related to Energy Efficiency.  Furthermore, this person will be able to effectively serve as an expert witness for the Company and will run external stakeholder engagement and education meetings as it pertains to Energy Efficiency.  Lastly, this person will represent Entergy’s interests in various energy efficiency industry forums (e.g. SPEER, SEEA, EPRI, etc...) and with energy efficiency vendors. 


Job Duties/Responsibilities

Develop and manage category of energy efficiency products for residential, commercial, and industrial customers, including vendor and contract management, product financial performance , contract negotiation, and marketing.


Be a champion for Entergy’s Products and Services efforts both inside and outside of the organization, promoting collaboration and communication, managing the stakeholder engagement process with regulators, customers, other external parties, and internal groups. 


Represent Entergy on various industry forums such as SEEA, SPEER, PLMA, SEPA, etc... and assist with developing and maintaining the internal POV on product costs and capabilities.


Be a thought-leader at Entergy for energy efficiency and product management issues and assist with developing these capabilities across Entergy business units.


Interface with internal Resource Planning personnel to reflect penetration levels and scenarios around various types of energy efficiency to support each utility operating company’s Integrated Resource Planning efforts.


Be able to effectively serve as the company’s expert witness in various regulatory proceedings related to energy efficiency or other products and services.


Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred: MBA or other master’s degree in business or engineering field


Minimum experience required of the position

3+ years of managing a utility-offered product or service

3+ years managing people and budgets

3+ years working for an electric utility or working for an energy efficiency or demand response vendor

Preferred: Previous experience as an expert witness in front of a Federal, state, or municipal regulatory body, Ability to coach and train others on product management, development, and marketing, Awareness of existing energy efficiency vendors, smart thermostat technologies, and DRMS/DERMS software solutions.


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Strong commercial background  in a customer-focused, utility marketing role with demonstrable ability to develop marketing plans, select vendors, develop the voice of the customer, and manage product profit and loss. Strong communicator both at tactical and strategic levels with experience discussing complex topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to execute projects in a matrix organization. Strong, demonstrated writing and presentation skills. Creativity and passion to develop new, innovative products for customers.


Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

Preferred: Experience developing and managing energy efficiency programs.
