Job Description:
- Work as part of a cross-function team to meet the needs of customers
- Work assignment complexity and responsibility grows with tenure of student employees
- Learn plant systems and operating procedures including the elementary function of steam powerplant equipment, such as boilers, turbo-generator units, rotating electrical equipment, heat exchange equipment, pumps, compressors, fans, etc.
- Perform routine operations assist in the operations of steam power plant equipment.
- Record operating data on log sheets and electronic logs
- Learn a basic understanding of power plant instrumentation knowledge
- Work a flexible schedule
- Actively engage in day-to-day activities
Job Requirements:
- GPA 2.8 or above.
- Computer skills–- familiar with various databases, as well as Windows environment and Microsoft toolkit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have good communication skills.
- Pursuing a degree focused on millwright, machinist, or Process Technology training at an accredited College or University.
