Job Summary/Purpose:
This position will provide support for Entergy’s regulated and unregulated business units by assuring Entergy is liquid through financings and/or cash management and in various financial analyses.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
In supporting the various Entergy Business Units, the candidate will perform Corporate Finance tasks including:
- Raising external funds necessary to support the business
- Managing large teams to negotiate, document, and issue debt and equity securities
- Managing “at the market” equity and stock buyback programs
- Managing Entergy’s commercial paper program
- Negotiate and maintain letter of credit programs
- Marketing Entergy to, and maintaining strong relationships with, banks
- Developing and maintaining bank relations
- Negotiating bank facilities
- Assuring regulatory approvals are in place that allow financing
- Responding to regulatory information requests
- Tracking and supporting timely requests for financing authorizations
- Overseeing compliance with debt covenants
- Tracking debt compliance responsibilities
- Maintain quality records related to work
- Supporting rating agency relations
- Promote Entergy’s success and strategies to the agencies; lobby to secure the best ratings
- Supporting business tactics and strategies with corporate finance analysis and advice
- Supporting M&A projects
- Working on project financings
- Lease management
- Supporting other Treasury duties and functions as needed
- Performing financial analysis
- Variable Interest Entity (VIE) Fuel Trust administration
- Manage short term and medium-term cash needs of VIE
- Track ongoing VIE activities accurately
- Work with Accounting to verify the VIE activity is being properly captured on Entergy's books
- Collaborate and Share Knowledge with immediate group and broader groups throughout the company
- Data entry to support the accounting of financings
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position:
- Bachelor’s degree – Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk or Accounting or a related degree.

- Financial Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, banking or the relevant field.
- Financial Analyst II: 2 - 4 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, banking or the relevant field.
- Financial Analyst III: 3 - 5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, banking or the relevant field.
- Financial Analyst Lead: 5+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting, banking or the relevant field.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to analyze problems and create solutions. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Additional Information:
This position typically takes 6 to 12 months to become independently productive, and candidate should expect to stay in the role for 4+ years to gain full competency and experience in the corporate finance group functions.
This position is in the office 3 days a week, has needs to work in person for select events after hours in order to maintain our banking relationships and may have occasional overnight travel requirements.
