Job Summary/Purpose

Reporting to the Vice President of Investor Relations, the analyst will be a key contributor to Entergy’s investor relations activities. Support processes for earnings releases, investor conferences and other investor meetings. Processes include gathering and analyzing data from subject matter experts, analyzing and understanding Wall Street expectations, drafting and documenting materials (press release, scripts, slides, etc.). Communicate effectively and clearly about the company’s results and strategy with the financial community.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and updating Investor Relations materials including earnings releases, corporate presentations and other materials distributed to the investment community
  • Work with subject matter experts across the company to assist in developing investor relations messages and preparing investor relations materials
  • Prepare internal reports and updates on stock price performance of the company and its peers, investor dialogue, equity research reports, upcoming Investor Relations events, etc.
  • Compile and prepare supporting schedules, work papers, and other documentation related to all public materials
  • Perform research and analytics around industry trends and peers, as well as other ad hoc analytics for senior management
  • Develop an understanding of the financial models and assumptions used by research analysts to value the company and its peers; use this knowledge to improve the efficacy of the company's communications to the investment community
  • Assist in responding to ad-hoc investor and analyst inquiries and requests
  • Complete special projects at the request of the Board of Directors and Office of the Chief Executive

Other Important Duties

Acute attention to detail and accuracy required on all projects. Perform special projects and tasks as assigned, usually with quick turnaround times.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor's Degree – Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Relevant Field, or equivalent work experience. Desired: MBA

Minimum experience required of the position

Financial Analyst II - 2-4 years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields.

Financial Analyst III - 4-6 years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a dedicated team player
  • Desire and ability to learn quickly
  • Acute attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
  • Basic knowledge of financial theory and valuation.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:

CPA, CFA, PE or similar certificates / licenses desired.
