Job Summary/Purpose

  • The Program Manager, HR, provides strategic and tactical HR leadership to drive the evolution of Entergy HR. This role serves as a program execution leader to engage the HR community and key business leaders to deliver effective HR solutions in support of the company’s mission to become The Premier Utility. 
  • This role plays a primary role in developing and executing HR programs and projects aligned to the Talent and Culture strategy while championing a culture of customer-centricity, driving operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and delivering sustainable growth.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, development, and implementation of strategic HR improvements that significantly reduce workloads, improve the employee experience, or improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness across the team, business unit, and/or the organization. Projects may include: 
    • HR Dashboards & Analytics (in conjunction with the People Reporting team in Shared Services)
    • Strategic Workforce Planning
    • HR Process Streamlining and Standardization
    • HR Enterprise Compliance and Risk Management
    • HR Workflow Management
  • Own implementation and serve as subject matter expert of complex enterprise scale programs with considerable risk. Develops plans, specifies scope, manages issues, identifies/mitigates risks, manages interdependencies, and leads the development of program/project implementation plans.  Subject matter expert on assigned system policies and programs may include: 
    • HR Data Governance and Quality
    • Workforce Planning
    • HR Workflow Management
    • HR Safety Program
    • OFCCP, AAP Compliance
    • Human Capital regulatory data disclosures
    • HR Records Management
  • Collaborates with the other HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Partners, to support and facilitate the timing and execution of HR activities while ensuring data integrity and accuracy across HR systems and processes.   Collaborate with ESS, IT, Finance and AI teams to optimize data collection and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and oversee the organization's workforce planning process, including data framework development, data collection, analysis, and reporting.   Provides governance and oversight regarding data integrity and package design to optimize adoption and utilization.  Lead key HR analytics initiatives to transform complex workforce data into actionable insights that inform talent strategies.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends in HR, assesses the opportunity/impact, and collaborates with HR functional areas to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies to strengthen programs and proactively mitigate risk to the enterprise. 
  • Hires, interfaces with, and provides oversight to external consultants and vendors. Partners with vendors to achieve business results.  Leads HR vendor reviews on a regular basis to ensure optimal service received.  Manages and provide oversight to HR contracts.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Masters or Advanced Degree desired.

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 5+ years in HR or related experience with or without a degree.
  • 2+ years leading teams, or leading programs and initiatives where the employee can demonstrate the ability to effectively influence others.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Experience in client facing HR roles preferred with an understanding of HR processes, data, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in using HR information systems, workforce planning tools, and data analysis software.
  • Highly skilled at dealing with ambiguity.
  • Able to develop actionable plans, including change management, to lead the execution on time and on budget to accomplish desired outcomes.
  • Has exceptional skill and ability to analyze data, identify trends and evaluate root cause, create a hypothesis and test that hypothesis, make recommendations for change that are supported with data and logic.
  • Ability to drive strategic decision-making through data by empowering leaders and HR business partners with the intelligence they need to make evidence-based decisions, while also managing cross-functional HR programs that support a high-performing, inclusive culture.
  • Comfortable and highly effective at clear, concise written and verbal communications with internal and external audiences; listens effectively.
  • Ability to proactively lead and work across cross functional teams and across geographies with the proven ability to interact with employees at all levels within the organization with diverse personalities and skill levels. 
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills are also required. 
  • Develops and maintains relationships of trust with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Preferred external vendor management skills including request for information, request for quotes and requests for proposals resulting in HR agreements that are executed per the requirements.
