JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

We are looking for an experienced leader to serve as the business-side Application Owner of our RSA Archer Governance Risk and Compliance tool (Archer). This role is intended to serve as the person responsible for the overall health of the Archer application.

 

The role will collaborate with IT and with business functions currently using the tool or planning to do so—providing technology solutions that align with overall program strategies. The role will lead the effort to develop roadmaps and projects that continuously take advantage of the capabilities of the tool to exploit it to its highest potential value for the company.

In addition, this owner will be responsible for establishing key foundational processes to maintain the overall application. These processes include security, testing, requirements gathering, release management, issue resolution, and prioritization of enhancements.

 

The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to diverse Entergy functions through interactions with key personnel at all levels of the enterprise, including working directly with the Archer Steering Committee and with specified leads that support each Archer module.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with program owners and module leads to understand and implement business strategic programs; Interact with leadership throughout the organization to understand risk and compliance issues and how they can be addressed using the application
  • Provide GRC and industry expertise and apply best practices to project work based on experience
  • Establish standard processes and tools to gather system enhancement requirements
  • Conduct and review gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with internal application partners to estimate project impact
  • Provide configuration support for Archer when appropriate, and work with IT and the support vendor to ensure successful and timely implementation
  • Along with module leads, perform business application and functional analysis to understand and document data, workflow, and business process relationships required to satisfy business requirements; Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions
  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties, module leads and program owners
  • Monitor the progress of projects (milestones), enhancements and identified issues by using consistent tracking and status reporting; Be able to periodically report on the overall health of the Archer tool
  • Establish a robust set of consistent processes to be adhered to by all module leads in the areas of security, testing, release management, configuration management, documentation, etc., including user procedures and guidelines
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of all releases and/or new versions; Collaborate with program owners, module leads and 3rd party vendor to ensure a smooth transition
  • Establish the overall processes required to support Archer including, but not limited to working with vendors to research and resolve problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
  • Understand integration points and interfaces and manage any changes with IT
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools; Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs (reporting tools could be Archer or Microsoft BI)
  • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data to ensure strong internal controls
  • Train program owners and end users on new processes/functionality; This work may be in collaboration with change management or training resources
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in Archer technologies with a focus on continuous improvement; Examine trends via training, materials and techniques, classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanism; Participate in user group meetings/conferences
  • Work effectively as part of a team atmosphere

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or relevant STEM degree, or equivalent work experience

 

Minimum experience required of the position

  • At least 6+ years of professional experience
  • At least 3 years working with RSA Archer GRC tool

Preferred Experience:

  • Work in defining business and functional requirements for GRC
  • Strong project/product management experience through active participation in system-related projects

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

  • Strong understanding of risk and compliance processes and data
  • Strong understanding of database design, tools, structure, functions and processes
  • Business Expertise—Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve GRC use or implementation
  • Knowledge of electric utility business preferred
  • Project management skills—Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills—Ability to work with a team and to develop, facilitate, and implement broad based projects, and negotiate pragmatic solutions
  • Communication skills—strong oral and written communication skills including ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts in understandable terms both in writing and verbally; deliver oral presentations/training to diverse groups
  • Intellectually curious
  • Emotionally intelligent—patient and self-aware, able to maintain balance amid opposition and change, multi-culturally aware and sensitive

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred
  • RSA Archer Advance Administration training and RSA Archer Certified Professional preferred
