JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Information Technology (IT) Supplier Delivery team is responsible for delivering business outcomes through contract and performance management for its vendor partners. The team is split into three core complementary functions: Performance Monitoring, Contract Management, and Financial Management.
This role will be responsible for parts of the financial management function, including by processing purchase requisitions and orders, validating charge and project codes, troubleshooting Maximo and validating bug fixes along with technical support teams.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the IT contractor onboarding request process, reviewing such requests for compliance with policy, performing periodic tests of the process and reporting the results, and maintaining related policy and procedure documents as necessary.
Finally, this role will support the IT Asset Management team as needed by reviewing, approving and assigning various software license requests.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process hardware, software, and service orders through Maximo
- Place small IT orders via credit card upon request and reconcile purchases monthly
- Validate charge and project codes for purchase requisitions
- Assist technical support teams and developers with Maximo testing and fix validation
- Review and approve IT contractor onboarding requests
- Perform periodic testing on IT contractor onboarding process and report on findings
- Maintain IT contractor onboarding policies and procedures
- Validate monthly IT vendor Service Level Agreement (SLA) submissions
- Review and assign software licenses
- Support continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes
- Develop a strong understanding of Information Technology operations and contract processes through exposure to various levels of management
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum experience and education required of the position:
IT Specialist I: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, supply chain or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
IT Specialist II: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, supply chain or related field and 2+ years of experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Knowledge of the utility industry and/or familiarity with general financial and contract processes.
- Proficiency with Maximo Purchasing module is a major plus.
- Excel proficiency is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Superior analytical, critical thinking and quantitative skills.
- Driven for results with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, & effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment is required for this role.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and a track record of leveraging data for business impact is a plus.
