The Innovation Partnership Manager (Innovation Network) will play a critical role in the Innovation Partnership and Portfolio Management (IPPM) function, leading the team's efforts identify, establish, and leverage a network of both internal and external innovators to help drive value for Entergy’s innovation practice.  The leader will actively represent the efforts underway within KeyString Labs (KSL) to this network of partners and actively consult them to jump-start and guide collaborative innovation activities.  This network will consist of small and mid-range businesses; educational institutions; start-ups; entrepreneurial community; industry OEMs and vendor partners; non-competitive industry leaders; and larger corporations (both inside and outside of our industry).  The Innovation Partnership Manager (Innovation Network) will also partner with each product team and the portfolio management function to determine how best to leverage this network in order to create value for ongoing innovation efforts.



1. Lead activities to assess, establish, and maintain KSL’s portfolio of innovation partnerships in order to drive value for KSL’s overall innovation efforts and help the Company meet its strategic goals.

2. Serve as the primary point of contact for innovation network partners and establish / maintain tracking framework to assess progress, justify value, and drive prioritization of activities.

3. Lead the development and administration of network activities (either with individual partners or groups), including: theme days, co-innovation workshops, industry insights workshops, best practices collaborations, university capstone projects, etc.

4. Collaborate with product teams to see where innovation partners can tie into product road maps or open up new use cases/ideas to help products progress through the innovation process.

5. Leverage the innovation network to surface new opportunities, assess their potential value, and drive efforts to realize value through high priority partnerships.

6. Use successes of the innovation network efforts to assist in the creation of a narrative that further enhances KSL’s brand and creates additional PR opportunities.

7. Uncover opportunities to bring Entergy and KSL leadership into meaningful conversations, workshops, or conferences to help advance the Company’s strategy.

8. Facilitate workshops, sprints, and other collaboration efforts during different phases of the innovation process.

9. Create a high level of visibility for KSL leadership and the innovation board to ensure there is clarity on the purpose and an understanding of the value the innovation network is creating

10. Maintain involvement in the local community to establish KSL’s presence and help seek out opportunities to expand the network, while transitioning off of relationships that are not adding value

11. Partner with Entergy’s Strategic Ventures organization, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to jointly assess potential partnership opportunities and establish a POV for the organization.



Minimum education & experience required of the position

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years experience structuring, executing, and maintaining strategic partnerships, managing cross-functional initiatives in a corporate setting (or similar experience), and performing industry, competitor, technology, and other business analyses OR, in lieu of degree, 7+ years’ experience structuring, executing, and maintaining strategic partnerships, managing cross-functional initiatives in a corporate setting (or similar experience), and performing industry, competitor, technology, and other business analyses
  • Graduate Degree is a plus
  • Established network of relationships with energy and technology companies, universities, innovation centers, and related entities is a plus
