JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for providing technical, commercial and customer service support through dedicated account management for Entergy’s national accounts. The account executive will provide one point of contact with overall responsibility for creating and facilitating growth and improving customer service.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand and build relationships with national account ecosystem, including customer leadership and decision makers, influencers across customer functions, etc.
- Develops and implements account plans for Entergy's managed portfolio of assigned national accounts.
- Negotiate and coordinate all service and contract activities associated with new and expanding national account customers including contract administration
- Resolves customer issues/concerns relative to sales, service and reliability.
- Promote applicable products to national account customers and work closely with economic development to encourage growth, expansion, and new revenue streams
- Negotiate and coordinate service and contract activities associated with new and expanding national account customers
- Drive creation of new or recurring revenue streams with national account customers through cross-selling or upselling tactics
 
- Continuously monitor and analyze customer sales performance data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of the sales and customer engagement strategies. Leverage these insights to refine the sales approach, training and enhance customer experience.
- Drive retention and satisfaction efforts for national accounts customers, ensuring the sustainability and growth of core market segments
- Has a close working relationship with field engineers, various operations groups (including construction) and local customer service managers, ensuring timely and effective response to customer needs. Coordinates service request with field operations and CSMs as necessary and will coordinate new service opportunities with the field personnel.
- Prepare and deliver “State of the Account Reports”, complete rate comparison studies, and update interactions and account management activities in SalesForce, or another other CRM tool. Manage outage communications process for assigned territory and elsewhere if needed.
- Serve as a consistent customer liaison during emergency response and storm restoration efforts
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
BS Engineering preferred, BS Business, Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
5+ years managed account customer service experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Experience in and understanding of overall utility operations processes and procedures. Strong skills in business retention and expansion as well as business recruitment. Knowledge of ESG and sustainability concepts and products and services that support them. Proven successful sales experience. Knowledge of rates and contracts and developing resolution for complex power quality/reliability issues. Knowledge of major accounts billing, account management sales/service and overall customer operations including meter reading, billing/large customer accounting. Negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, knowledge of SalesForce, the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
