JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for preparing, directing and/or overseeing certain investor relations and shareholder communications to ensure Entergy's strategy and results are understood.  Serves as an additional interface between Entergy and investors and research analysts.


JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads coordination and scheduling for development of key products, including the quarterly earnings calls and the Investor Guide.
  • Works with the IR team to develop and complete IR products including earnings call materials, investor meeting presentations / handouts, Investor Guide, and Integrated Report.
  • Leads efforts on financial analysis to support forward-looking disclosures including analysis and development of an external / outside-in view.  Financial views include quarterly / annual actuals explanations, full understanding of annual guidance and drivers, and any long-term financial outlooks (earnings, capital plan, financial plan, cash flow, credit metrics, etc.).
  • Participates in quarterly calls with analysts to discuss known and measurable drivers for quarterly results.
  • At times, participates in calls with analysts to address specific questions about the company, our strategy, and our financial performance and outlooks.
  • Works closely with IR VP and Director on development of communications including content, messaging, strategies, etc.
  • Develops responses to regulatory requests for information.
  • Supports other products and analysis, as needed.
  • Serves as primary back up to the Dir, Investor Relations in his/her absence.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education and experience required of the position.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 6+ years of relevant work experience is required or in lieu of a degree 10+ years of relevant work experience is required. Experience in financial leadership roles is a plus. MBA or Advanced Degree is a plus.  Experience in financial planning and analysis a plus. 


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Knowledge of accounting. Interpersonal/leadership skills and ability to communicate externally and at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in PC Windows environment and excellent writing and presentation skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation. Flexibility to work in demanding environment to meet needs of investors and senior management (requires work beyond standard working hours).


Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
CPA or CFA is a plus.


Work Conditions

Hybrid in-office and virtual environment with minimal physical requirements. As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.  Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
