The Product Operations Manager, Sr. will play a critical role in Entergy’s innovation journey by leading and collaborating on efforts in the following functional areas: product operations, innovation center operations, portfolio management, innovation center branding, internal presentation materials, and miscellaneous innovation initiatives. The role is a central function inside of KeyString Labs (KSL), Entergy’s innovation center. The leader in this role will drive success across KSL by collaborating with leadership and cohorts to establish the foundation and continuous improvement for our processes, methodologies, product development framework, and brand management. The person in this role will also be responsible for tracking and reporting KSL’s progress on products and initiatives underway to various stakeholder groups, including executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with innovation methodologies and best practices, experience with innovation technology platforms, and an ability to leverage soft skills across functions in a fast-paced environment to accomplish objectives.



Product Operations

  • Develop, refine, and manage KSL’s innovation process (in collaboration with others across the Lab), along with stage gates and stakeholder mapping.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure adherence to the process and utilization of the stage gate approach.
  • Work with leadership teams and product teams to develop storyline and presentation materials for innovation board meetings.
  • Develop and maintain reporting cadences and tools (dashboards, presentations, other tools) to be used to track key aspects of KSL’s workload and report on these efforts to leadership and partners across the organization.

KSL Operations

  • Lead the delivery of innovation activities and education through workshops, hackathons, interdepartmental summits, events, etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts within the Lab by identifying areas for development, presenting the problem and proposed solutions to the innovation leadership team for approval, and implementing the improvements once approved by the leadership team.
  • Create and present analyses that measure team velocity and efficiency and provide leadership with recommendations based on findings.

Innovation Partnerships

  • Establish and maintain a current roster of internal innovation stakeholders with whom the Lab partners to augment innovation efforts and ensure engagement cadence and coverage is effective.
  • Create and maintain communication channels through which internal partners can provide feedback and insights on ongoing initiatives and request support or guidance from KSL personnel.

KSL Branding

  • Partner with innovation leadership and others across the organization to develop and refine KSL and product-specific brand strategy.
  • Work with the leadership team and others across the Lab to socialize the strategy(s) and best practices with key stakeholders across Entergy.
  • Ensure consistency with KSL and product-specific materials produced prior to distribution.


  • Perform miscellaneous assignments as directed and supported by the innovation leadership team.



Minimum education & experience required of the position

Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ professional experience in an innovation, startup, or consulting environment and working on customer solutions OR, in lieu of degree, 7+ years’ professional experience in an innovation, startup, or consulting environment and working on customer solutions


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with other software tools, such as: Slack, Airtable, SharePoint (preferred)
  • Experience applying agile methodology
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and remain flexible as business needs evolve
  • High level of emotional intelligence; ability to work with a high level of empathy on cross-functional teams
  • High level of organizational, project management, and communications skills



Functional Knowledge    

  • Familiarity with innovation methodologies, practices, and processes.
  • Understanding design thinking principles and agile methodology.

Business Expertise          

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen.
  • High level of comfort presenting complex information to all levels of an organization.


  • Experience using “soft skills” and emotional intelligence to influence cross-functional teams in order to accomplish goals.
